By this point, you are likely familiar with how to upload an Asset into ClearSlide, but sometimes it can be helpful/necessary to mix slides from different assets to create a customized deck. This is where Presentations come in handy.
Some users have found Presentations to be really helpful when they have multiple Assets that they plan to use on an upcoming client call. Instead of favoriting Assets that will only be temporarily important (special deck needed for a client presentation but won't be used much afterwards), you can make a personal Presentation out of just those documents.
To create a Presentation, navigate to the Content Library in ClearSlide.
Hover your mouse over an Asset that you want to add to a Presentation and you'll notice a "+" appear. Click on the "+" sign, and the Asset will appear in a tray at the bottom of the page.
Add other Assets to your Presentation by clicking on the "+" that will now be visible to the right of all Asset titles. Use the Search and Filter options to narrow down the results to the assets you’re looking to include.
Once you have all Assets selected in the tray, click the arrow to open the Presentation.
Rearrange the selected assets and exclude any slides to further customize your Presentation:
- To rearrange the assets, just drag and move one asset in front of the other.
- To exclude slides, click Edit and you’ll be able to select the slide(s) you want to hide from the Presentation.
Note: excluding a slide within your Presentation does not alter the master asset.
To save it for later use, click the "..." icon in the upper right corner of the tray and select "Save as Presentation." By saving it as a Presentation, you can revisit it and launch ClearSlide actions directly from the Presentation itself.
Don’t forget to rename your Presentation and add any additional assets before you share it (start a Live Meeting, Create Link or Compose Email).
Now you can either use your new Presentation immediately (start a Live Meeting or send an Email Link) or access it later.
Tip: The content in your customized Presentation is connected to the master assets. When admins update the assets (i.e. change content in a slide, add slides, etc) it will update the slides in the Presentation and show the asset as Updated.
